New Orleans Forever

I'm sorting through all of the pictures but had to give a sneak preview of our amazing New Orleans adventure. It was one of the best trips of my life...

Kids boutique in the quarter that we loved. I got the cutest swimsuit for Harper there!

Lunch at K Pauls-the gumbo was amazing.

Those boots walked all over the French Quarter.

Preservation Hall

She got her naps in when she could.

Riverwalk!

Nola Love in Jackson Square.

It was all still there.

Just as I remembered.

Or now even better.

Acme was still packed and serving delicious beer and huge oysters!

View from our hotel window.

Harper was such a good traveller!

Big girl...

For Grandma Irene...

Of course, we had to get this sign.

The architecture there still blows me away.

Mike and Harper at Audobon!

I sat on this bench many a times during college.

Harper in front of Loyola. Perhaps contemplating where she wants to go to school (eek!)

Who knows what the future holds...

Oh yes- a shrimp poor boy!!!

Enjoying the 80 degree weather.

My favorite street in the city.

The garden district was just as gorgeous as I remembered it.

One or two Porty potties was all that remained from Mardi Gras 2012.

Our hotel on Canal.

Shopping!

And sleeping :)

And reminiscing.

And eating at my favorite restaurant.

And riding street cars.

Whenever we went back into the hotel room, Harper got the key and wanted to go out again! She loved it!

We all did-standing in line for beignets as Cafe Du Monde.

I can't wait to go back.

Lassiez les bons temps rouler!

love,

b.

With her mother's and her father's genes, I'm sure Harper has many, many miles of travel ahead of her. She's already started! Can't wait to see more pictures. It's been about 55 years since I was in Jackson Square!
